Celebration!

This year our 4th celebration has extended into the fifth. One of the brothers is singing the national anthem at the minor league baseball team's game tonight, so the big family outing is this evening with a picnic first.

Yesterday we had a smaller gathering. We're a working class bunch of people: burgers, dogs and brats are our usual barbecue fare. Because it was a smaller group I decided to spring for steaks. Very worthwhile. Bub, the twelve-year-old, lost the "thumbs-up" on the prayer. His last line made my day. "Thank you for letting us have steak today." All righty! (And of course he got to have the extra one *grin*)
